According to an industry survey released in Shanghai held the eighth session of China CNC machine tool exhibition, China's manufacturing industry relative to the huge machine tool consumption scale, known as the "industrial tooth on the cutting tool consumption is still low, only 20% of the consumption of machine tools. This proportion is not only far below the developed countries, but also lower than the world average.

The survey was made by the metal processing magazine and the Chinese machinery industry metal cutting tool technology association. The survey reported that the proportion of the user's cutting tool cost in the manufacturing cost is increasing, which indicates that the industry is paying more and more attention to the investment of cutting tools and the use of efficient tools. In spite of this, compared with the huge scale of machine tool consumption in China, the consumption level of tool is still low, which indicates that the promotion of efficient tools in China needs to be strengthened.

In machine tool production line, the most direct and intimate contact with the processed parts is the cutting tool, which can cut all kinds of metals, and is called "industrial teeth", which plays a vital role in the development of machinery manufacturing industry.

The survey shows that in order to improve cutting efficiency, most users first think of using compound multifunctional tools, and customize efficient composite knives for customers has become a trend. For domestic cutting tool manufacturers, the report suggests that we should increase investment in pre-sale and after-sales service, relieve users' worries about the selection of domestic knives, and recommend importing tool manufacturers to pay more attention to personalized brand building and publicity.

The survey report also pointed out that, compared to the import tool, cutting tool of domestic stability, cutting efficiency, lifetime and provide solutions still have a big gap, therefore, to improve the quality of products and user solution is the domestic enterprises to strive for the main direction.
